The 31-year-old superstar has taken to social media to let everyone know how his recovery is going after a tackle from Dimitri Payet injured his left knee and forced him to come off in the 25th minute of Portugal’s 1-0 win over France in the EURO 2016 final.
Since then Ronaldo has been celebrating with his teammates as the
captain of Portugal was front and center of a parade around Lisbon but
rumors lingered that he had damaged his ACL in his knee and he could be
out for most of the 2016-17 season. That doesn’t seem to be the case.
Ronaldo didn’t mention any specific details on the treatment he is
undergoing but reports from Spain claim that he’s in a clinic in Ibiza
for hyperbaric oxygen therapy which will speed up his recovery time.
“Hi everyone! I just wanted to thank all my fans,” Ronaldo said.”I
wanted to tell them that all is well and that I will come back much
stronger. Thank you, long live Portugal!”
